Saint Monica Care Initiatives is the social impact arm of Saint Monica Development Resource Limited. It exists to turn professional capability, partnerships and community goodwill into practical support for older and vulnerable people who are too often excluded from services, opportunity and public attention.

Our first priority is elderly welfare. We believe that older people deserve more than occasional charity. They deserve dignity, accessible health support, financial inclusion, purposeful activity, safe social connection and systems that recognise their rights and contributions.

Across Nigeria, many older people face a difficult combination of falling income, rising health costs, social isolation, digital exclusion and limited access to targeted support. Saint Monica Care Initiatives works with communities and partners to respond to these realities respectfully and practically.

We focus on what can make a direct difference: bringing services closer, building confidence with digital tools, connecting older people to meaningful work and mentoring, supporting health and welfare outreach, and helping institutions see and serve the older people within their communities.

Elderly Welfare and Dignity

We support practical welfare interventions for older people, including needs assessment, essential-item support, referral pathways, community care and advocacy for age-friendly services.

Healthy Ageing and Healthcare Access

We work with health partners to promote screening, health information, referral support, medication access and stronger links between older people and primary healthcare services.

Digital and Financial Inclusion

We help older people use digital tools safely and confidently, access financial services, understand payment channels and receive support without unnecessary travel or exclusion.

Economic Participation and Purpose

We promote opportunities for retired professionals and older entrepreneurs to share their expertise, earn income, mentor younger people and remain active in community life.

Intergenerational Support

We connect older people with young people, schools, volunteers and vulnerable children through mentorship, storytelling, skills transfer and community connection.

Research and Advocacy

We bring visibility to the realities of ageing in Nigeria and advocate for practical, inclusive policies and services.
